Two miniature drones were produced to accompany Ahmed Mater's Cartography of Surveillance at Frieze London 2021, sold as editions alongside the large-scale work.

Working at miniature scale introduced a different set of fabrication constraints. The wings, internal structure, and legs were milled in aluminium — requiring precise tolerances for the interface between milled and 3D printed components. The remaining parts were 3D printed and assembled around the aluminium structure.

Matt handled design, file preparation, and 3D printing. Milling and surface finishing were carried out by the workshop team.
