Produced for Javier Calleja Studio by Madfaber for his debut exhibition at Almine Rech, New York. The commission comprised a large bronze sculpture with glass eyes and three tentatieso roly-poly toys.

Matt developed the 3D files alongside the artist's digital sculptor to produce geometry correct for fabrication, and produced small maquettes for design review and iteration.

For the large bronze, Matt segmented the files for production in porex for sandcasting. He designed the glass eyes — with a specific taper on the reverse to slide into the bronze — and the files were sent to a specialist glassmaker. Two bronze eye rings were machined by Matt; the taper of each glass eye couples precisely with its ring, which was welded into the bronze sculpture. Small intricate parts, including the zip detail, were 3D printed in high-resolution wax.

For the toys, Matt prepared the 3D files for mould-making — segmenting into specific forms with mould keys so cast parts fit together — then 3D printed the models for the mouldmaking process. Glass eyes for the toys were also designed by Matt.
